Cryptocurrency Wallets: Who’s Got the Most Holders? 🤔
Wondering which cryptocurrencies have the biggest following? Santiment, a crypto analytics platform, has shed light on the top six altcoins with the most non-empty wallets.
Top 6 Altcoins by Wallet Holders
- Litecoin (LTC) takes the lead with nearly 8.1 million wallets, though it’s seen a decline from its peak of 9.4 million a few months back. Litecoin has been around for over a decade and offers faster transactions than Bitcoin.
- Dogecoin (DOGE) comes in second with 6.69 million wallets. The meme-coin continues to hold strong popularity.
- Ripple (XRP) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) are both experiencing a surge in wallet holders, reaching all-time highs. XRP crossed the 5 million wallet milestone at the start of the year and hasn’t looked back.
- Cardano (ADA) and Chainlink (LINK) round out the top six.
Shiba Inu’s strong community engagement is notable, even though it has fewer holders than Dogecoin. One study found that SHIB has the strongest and most dedicated community based on social media engagement.
Litecoin’s longevity and faster transaction times have contributed to its strong wallet holder count. The coin’s halving mechanism, which occurred in August 2023, could also potentially fuel future price growth.
It’s worth noting that the number of wallet holders doesn’t necessarily reflect a coin’s price performance. However, it does give insight into the level of adoption and community engagement for each project.
