Nigerian Police Investigate Blord Group CEO for Alleged Cryptocurrency Fraud and Terrorism Funding

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) is investigating the CEO of Blord Group of companies, Mr. Linus Williams, for alleged involvement in cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism funding, and other financial crimes.

The Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) and the NPF National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC) are currently questioning Williams. The investigation stems from complaints lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estates Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited and Billpoint Technology.

The police are looking into allegations of:

  • Cryptocurrency fraud
  • Aiding internet fraud
  • Computer-related fraud
  • Terrorism funding
  • Non-compliance with regulatory frameworks

The NPF spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that the police are committed to ensuring a safe and secure cyberspace in Nigeria.
